Datto Workplace could easily be compared to SharePoint from the Microsoft Office 365 Suite of products.

However, I feel this wouldn’t do it justice, Datto Workplace is so much better in my opinion.

Datto Workplace is an online filesharing and collaboration service and can be used on Mac, Windows, IOS & Android devices.

Whether this is storing files just online or allowing them to be viewed offline too, Datto Workplace has you covered.

With built-in Ransomware Detection and Malware and Virus Detection, the level of security is much better than Microsoft 365.

Just recently a client who is a web developer was uploading old work and had accidentally uploaded Malware to Datto Workplace.

We soon detected it and an alert was sent to both the client and us at Hamilton Group to resolve it.

We’ve had about 4 videographers over the years approach us for storage solutions and all but one Datto Workplace was the right solution.

With the ability to hold completely unlimited amounts of data it made sense for the large files that videographers produce.

You can upload videos and choose to share with lots of controls such as read-only and not download, share for a limited amount of time, and more.

The only reason it wasn’t suitable to all four was the constant need to store 8K files (multiple GB in size) and their internet couldn’t handle it.
